Integral (Fairbrooke) Wingates Hellsing

Integral Wingates Hellsing is the direct heir of famous Van Hellsing and commander of Royal Protestant Knights. Nevertheless she’s only 23 her skills as commander and politician are on topmost level. She became the head of RPK at a very early age. At this time she freed Alucard from his imprisonment in the basement of Hellsing mansion. Only by doing this she could save herself from her power thirsty uncle, whom tried to kill her and take RPK under his control. After that from a mere child she became Integral – woman with cold heart, keen mind, steels nerves and a cigar, (Integral’s a heavy smoker) because of that she’s often addressed as “sir” by her subordinates. Only she can give orders to Alucard, which he unquestioningly follows. Alucard doesn’t feel himself humiliated by this, as he counts Integral the only one equal to him.

Character of Integral is little bit different in manga compared to anime. One of the most important differences is that in manga Integral can smile! In anime even Alucard sometimes isn’t as harsh as his mistress, in manga, on the other hand, she’s a very childlike person with child ambitions and manners. Of course, this episodic, comic behavior doesn’t spoil the overall scene, but sometimes gets annoying. After the anime many characters of Hellsing changed to a more serious state including Integral, but never the less even after that the manga Integral is far more airheaded than her anime self.
