Hellsing Manga

There are some issues that differs Hellsing anime and manga and well as argues who is the best. Well regarding the difference – we may compare only the first 4 volumes of manga, because anime was created based on these volumes, but there is a huge BUT about it! When anime was preparing for its launch, Hirano drew only first 2 volumes of manga, thus GONZO(they drew anime Hellsing)had to create the story of their own. Another thing is that those 4 volumes were not so good for animation. Hirano’s manga is straight forward, the story begins and slowly goes forward without gaps and pauses, the plot is intact. The anime story, on the other hand, has to be independent and thus tweaks were made to the anime. And who is better? Well, in my humble opinion, the plot is undoubtedly better in manga, but the visualization is better in the anime. GONZO gave Hellsing even more charm and expression, but remember Hellsing manga and anime are intact, they both lack something without each other. The recent OVAs are very like manga, the story is the same so you even may compare GONZOs work with Hiranos basing on OVA and the TV series.
